HOW TO INCLUDE YWCA GLENDALE AND PASADENA IN YOUR WILL

The most common form of a planned gift is a bequest in a will. There are no limitations on bequests and these are the types:

A SPECIFIC BEQUEST

You can establish a bequest of a particular dollar amount or percentage of your estate. The sample language is as follows:

“I give, bequeath, and devise (dollar amount or description of gift) to YWCA Glendale and Pasadena, 735 E. Lexington Drive, Glendale, CA 91206, Tax ID 95-1644057, to be used for its general purposes.”

A RESIDUARY BEQUEST

You can give all or part of the property remaining in your estate after debts, expenses, and specific bequests are paid. The sample language is as follows:

“I give, bequeath, and devise (all or ___ percent of) the rest, residue, and remainder of the property, both real and personal, wherever situated, which I may own or be entitled to at my death, to YWCA Glendale and Pasadena, 735 E. Lexington Drive, Glendale, CA 91206, Tax ID 95-1644057, to be used for its general purposes.”

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES

YWCA Glendale and Pasadena can offer its donors a new opportunity to support our programs while also receiving income in return through a charitable gift annuity, managed by the Pasadena Community Foundation.

With a minimum gift of $20,000* you will receive a fixed annual annuity payment AND a tax deduction depending on your age (must be 65 or older):

Age: 65 70 75 80 85 90+
Rate: 5.1% 5.6% 6.2% 7.3% 8.3% 9.5%

*MINIMUM GIFT AND AGE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRE EVALUATION OF IMPACT TO CHARITABLE BENEFICIARY. PCF WILL ADVISE ONCE THE APPLICATION IS MADE.
