Lori Klein

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Lori Klein is a passionate and results-oriented nonprofit leader with extensive experience in program development and management, mentorship, resource development, and grant-making. Lori has developed an identity as a leader who creates communal impact through relationship building and creative problem solving.

Lori has served in various leadership, programming, consulting, and coaching positions including as the Vice President, Center for Designed Philanthropy at the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, as Executive Director of Students 4 Students, and as the Associate Chief Program Officer & Senior Vice President at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Lori has written, presented, and facilitated conversations on navigating the generational divide in nonprofits.

Throughout her career Lori has developed a track record of service dedicated to enhancing the lives of others, strengthening communities, and creating transformational change. Across sub-sectors, she has built a multi-faceted professional portfolio of strategic service and grounded leadership resting on the impressive educational base of a master’s degree in social work from USC (MSW), a master’s degree in nonprofit management from HUC-JIR, a bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCLA, and a certification in Interim Leadership from Third Sector Company. Her graduate degree research and capstone project involved in-depth academic and practical work around domestic violence.
