YWCA of Glendale Receives Grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing California

Glendale, CA – The YWCA of Glendale is happy to announce it has received a $2,000 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing California. The grant will support the YWCA of Glendale’s Domestic Violence Program (DVP). Started in 1979, the DVP’s primary focus is to empower victims of domestic violence by providing assistance to achieve independence, self?sufficiency and a life free from violence. The DVP provides: A 24?Hour Domestic Violence Hotline; a 24?hour Emergency Shelter; Domestic Violence Services Center; Legal Services; Children’s Programs; Educational & Outreach and Domestic Violence Training and Certification.

“We are pleased the Employees Community Fund of Boeing California (ECF CA) has chosen to support our Domestic Violence Program,” said Michelle Roberts, executive director at the YWCA of Glendale. “Their support helps us to continue providing the critical services needed to support victims of domestic violence as they move towards a life free from abuse.”

The Employees Community Fund of Boeing California (ECF CA) is a unique employee giving program that allows Boeing employees to support the needs of their local communities through tax?deductible recurring payroll deductions or one?time gifts. The ECF CA pledge to its members is that 100% of the dollars contributed will be returned to the areas where contributors live and work.
