Event Venue Update:

Our 21st Annual Women for Racial Justice Breakfast will now be held at Noor Sofia Ballroom in Pasadena, CA. We made the difficult decision to move our venue in response to the ongoing labor dispute between UNITE HERE Local 11 labor union members and 61 hotels across Los Angeles and Orange County, including the Hilton Pasadena. We decided to change venues to support hotel workers and their rights to negotiate for fair wages and better working conditions.

We are moving the event to a locally owned banquet hall in Pasadena, CA, the Noor Sofia Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Paseo Colorado at 300 E Colorado Blvd #200, Pasadena, CA 91101.

THE 21ST ANNUAL WOMEN FOR RACIAL JUSTICE BREAKFAST

October 24th, 2023 | 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM PST

For 21 years, our Women for Racial Justice Breakfast has been a space and experience that has brought people in the Pasadena community (and beyond) together. This event offers opportunities for deep learning and an invitation to action to advance racial justice. Our 2023 theme of Illuminating Bridges In Solidarity reflects our intersectional approach to addressing race and gender equity. We have had a long commitment to recognizing change makers and risk takers throughout our history.

We believe that the equally important goals of eradicating racial and gender disparities call for a celebration and recognition of the people who build bridges. Building bridges allows us to collectively build a world of belonging, open new possibilities, and connect across movements and sectors. When we build bridges, we create solidarity.

The 21st Annual YWCA Glendale & Pasadena Women for Racial Justice Breakfast will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 8AM – 10AM. The Breakfast will be emceed by Emmy Award Winning News Anchor, KTLA’s Cher Calvin and feature a keynote speech by the Founder of the Women’s March Foundation, Emiliana Guereca.

Through this event, we recognize the commitment and dedication of our supporters, program participants, and community, and business and government partners who advance our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all We are proud to celebrate the 2023 YWCA Women for Racial Justice honorees for their work building bridges to advance racial and gender equity.
